Bio
Kimberly King is a visual artist and educator originally from Chicago and based in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. She earned degrees in African American Studies and Studio Art from Howard University. Working across printmaking, ceramics, sculpture, drawing, and painting, she explores mythology and how nature reflects resilience. Her work as been exhibited at venues including the Montpelier Cultural Arts Center, Torpedo Factory Art Center, Pittsburgh Center for the Arts, and a solo exhibition at Strathmore Mansion, Invitational Gallery. Her public artwork includes a Mural Healing Meditation at Children's Hospital's Adolescent Health Center in Washington, DC.
