Kimberly King (b. Chicago, IL) is a visual artist and educator based in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. She studied at Howard University’s School of Fine Arts, earning degrees in African American Studies and Studio Art.

Her work has been showcased in numerous exhibitions, including the Montpelier Cultural Arts Center (Laurel, MD), the Torpedo Factory (Alexandria, VA), the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts (Pittsburgh, PA), and a solo show at the Strathmore Mansion Invitational Gallery (Bethesda, MD).
Public collections feature Healing Spaces, a mural created for the Children’s Hospital Adolescent Health Center in Washington, DC.

For twenty years, Kimberly has balanced her studio practice with her role as a secondary school art teacher in Washington, DC.
